Braking when travelling downhill
To brake the machine during downhill runs, put the travel lever in the
neutral position. This will cause the brake to be automatically applied.
If shoes slip
When travelling uphill, if the shoes slip or it is impossible to travel
uphill using the force of the track only it is possible to use the pulling force
of the arm to help the machine travel uphill.
If engine stops
If the engine stops when travelling uphill, move the travel levers to the
neutral position, lower the bucket to the ground, stop the machine, then
start the engine again.
Precautions on slopes
If the engine stops when the machine is on a slope, never use the left
work equipment control lever to carry out swing operations. The up-
per structure will swing under its own weight.
Do not open or close the door of the cab if the machine is on a slope.
This may cause a sudden change in the operating force. Always keep
the door locked.
