6.7 Functions of the viewer screen
6.7.4 Change of the masking
area
Although this device automatically recognizes the
exposure field area and performs masking to dis-
play within the image area, the masking area can be
changed manually when necessary.

Press [Masking].
• The viewer screen is displayed.

Using a xed size eective image area
If you want to use a fixed size effective image area,
press [ ]. Then the following buttons are displayed.

• This function does not support the stitching and mam-
mogram images.

(1) Fixed Size
Fixes the size of the eective
image area.
Select [8x10], [10x12], [11x14],
[14x14], [14x17], or [17x17].
(2) Direction
Switches the orientation of the
eective image area between
portrait and landscape.

• The xed size eective image area can be moved by
changing the position of the center point. If any part of
the eective image area is moved outside the image
display area, the position of the center point is ad-
justed automatically so that the eective image area is
included in the display area.
• If the eective image area is not included in the image
display area after the orientation has been changed,
the size-xing setting is cleared and the size of the ef-
fective image area is reduced until it is included in the
display area.
• If the effective image area is manually resized, the
size-xing setting is cleared.
