To USB con-
nector on PC
Connecting with a USB cable
- Turn OFF the power supply to the camera.
- There is no need to turn off your PC power supply when connecting
or disconnecting the USB cable to the camera.
1. Turn on the power supply to your
PC, and start up the Windows or
Mac OS.
2. When Mac OS or Windows desktop
screen appears, connect the cam-
era and PC using the USB cable.
• Please use only the USB cable supplied
with the camera.
3. Switch camera on
• While the camera is connected to your PC, the camera is inoperable.
• While connected to your PC, do not detach the USB cable or open the bat-
tery/card cover.
• Turn the power supply to the camera OFF when detaching the USB cable.
• When communicating with your PC, we recommend using the AC adapter (sold
separately). Attach/detach the AC adapter when the camera power supply is
OFF and your PC and the camera are not connected.
