Background information
Radio transmission
Free-control can be used anywhere that
the expansion or extension of existing
installations is impossible or very dicult.
Therefore, the possible applications of the
Free-control radio system are extremely
versatile.
However, 100 % transmission between the
transmitter and the receiver can never be
guaranteed. With appropriate planning,
transmission security can also by significantly
increased.
The specifications for radio range is always
a free field value and is only to be seen as
a reference value.
In practice, a statement regarding the radio
range within buildings is impossible because
this depends heavily on the individual
installation conditions and a number of other
factors.
Each object between the transmitter and
receiver contributes to reducing the trans-
mission range.
The signal reduction and the transmission
range depend on the following:
1. The characteristics of the material to be
penetrated (e.g. wood, masonry, glass, …)
2. The thickness of the material to be
penetrated (wall thickness)
3. The climatic conditions (dry environment,
rain, snow, …)
4. Existing local radio interference (such as
local radio masts, internal wireless
routers, …)
5. Any existing radio shadows (receiver
isolated by radio-opaque areas)
The above factors can change unexpectedly
and heavily influence the transmission range.
