Basic Settings and Operation
5.3 Cutting System
5.3.1 Special Safety Instructions
The following general rules apply to all maintenance, assembly, repair and adjustment work:
Bring the round baler to a complete standstill.
Switch off the motor, remove the ignition key and disconnect the 12 V supply voltage.
Secure the tractor and round baler against rolling.
Risk of injury when attaching or removing the cutters. Cutters are pre-tensioned with spring
force!
When working inside the bale chamber use the shut-off valve to secure the open rear flap
from lowering.
5.3.2 General Aspects
Basically the cutting system consists of the cutting roller
and 17 cutters or 26 cutters. Cutting helps to improve
further processing of the round bales and to increase bale
density.
Before lowering the blade base, always
raise the pick-up.
The cutter tray can be lowered if there are any blockages.
The individual cutter safety mechanism prevents the
cutters from being damaged by foreign objects.
The cutters can also be swung out mechanically.
5.3.3 Adjusting the Cutting Length
The cutting length is determined by the number of cutters
used. Use the key provided!
The following settings are possible!
