5.3.4 Clogging of the Cutting System
In case of clogging by crop or foreign bodies:
1. To enlarge the passage to the cutting roller, raise the
pick-up.
2. If this does not eliminate the jam:
• preselect the setting <Cutter base adjustment >
on the control unit.
• set the hydraulics of the cutter base (1) on the
tractor to <Lower>
3. If necessary, turn the blade off.
4. Allow the machine to run.
While the machine is running, the
hydraulic of the tractor must stay on
<Lower>.
Otherwise, there is a risk of the cutter base
to twist and of the cutters to hit the
ground.
Blockage on the feed rotor:
1. To enlarge the passage to the feed rotor, raise the
pick-up.
2. If this does not eliminate the blockage, use the
actuating lever (1) included with delivery (kept in the
twine box) to turn back the feed rotor on the right side
of the pick-up drive (2).
