Maintenance
4.13Storing when not in use
• Clean the machine thoroughly inside and out. Dirt
attracts moisture, which leads to the formation of
rust. When cleaning with high-pressure washing
devices, do not point the stream of water at the
bearing.
• Check movable parts (joints, etc.) to make certain
they move easily. If necessary, dismount them,
clean them and check them for wear. If necessary,
replace with new parts!
• Oil all joint points!
• Lubricate the machine thoroughly.
• Grease the protective tubes of the PTO shafts to
prevent freezing up.
• Repair places with worn paint and preserve all bear
metal places thoroughly with rust protection agent.
• Park the machine in a dry place. Do not store it in
the vicinity of artificial fertilisers.
• List all required spare parts and order them in good
time. It is easier for your KRONE dealer to provide
and install the required parts outside the season.
Then the machine will be completely ready for use
the coming season.
