7.1 Switching from working position to transport position
Danger! - Swinging the mowing unit up into transport position
Effect: Danger to life or serious injuries.
• The mowing unit and tractor must be positioned on a horizontal surface.
• Before swivelling the mowing unit into transport position, turn off the PTO (caution: The
cutting discs continue to run after the drive is turned off).
• The mowing unit may be lifted only once it has come to a complete standstill.
• Release the parking brake on the tractor and on the machine.
• The shut-off valve for the swivel drawbar must only be opened when switching from
transport to working position and vice versa.
• Riding on the mowing unit is not permitted.
Note - Observe max. travelling speed!
When driving on public roads, the maximum permissible speed of 40 km/h must not be
exceeded.
During transport / road travel the disc mower must be raised.
To do this:
• Switch off PTO drive
• Swivel the parking support into transport position and lock it into position with the bolt (see
chapter on start-up entitled "Swivelling the parking support into transport position").
• Open the shut-off valve for the drawbar.
• Raise the mowing unit completely with control unit 1 (red 1 / blue 1).
• Use control unit 3 (red 3 / blue 3) to swing the swivel drawbar to the left so that the mowing
unit is running on the right next to the tractor.
• Use control unit 2 (red 2 / blue 2) to swivel the transport wheels (both) completely down
vertically.
• Raise the working wheels with control unit 1 (red 1 / blue 1).
• Activate control unit 2 (red 2 / blue 2) so that the machine rotates from working position to
transport position until the ratchet mechanism for the drawbar engages. The foot brake
must not be activated during this operation. (If the ground is soft, it may be necessary to
move slowly back during the swivelling operation).
• Close the shut-off valve for the working wheels!
• Close the shut-off valve for the drawbar.
