8.1 From transport into working position
Danger! - Attaching / removing and operating the machine
Effect: Danger to life or serious injuries.
• No persons may remain between the tractor and the machine.
• Nobody should be in the swivel / working range of the machine!
• Only perform jobs under or on the machine when it is raised if it is securely supported.
• Setting tasks must only be performed when the drive is switched off and the engine is at a
standstill!
• Switch off the engine, remove the ignition key, and secure the machine from rolling away.
To do this:
• Open the shut-off valve for the drawbar.
• Open the shut-off valve for the working wheels.
• Activate control unit 2 (red 2 / blue 2) so that the machine rotates from transport position to
working position. (The foot brake must not be activated during this operation.)
• When the machine has swivelled out completely, activate control unit 1 (red 1 / blue 1) and
raise the machine completely with the working wheels.
• Activate control unit 2 (red 2 / blue 2) until both transport wheels are completely raised.
• Close the shut-off valve for the drawbar.
Control unit 3 (red 3 / blue 3) is required for mowing a section "from one side". The swivel
drawbar can be swivelled from left to right or vice versa in the headland position (mowing unit
up).
When mowing for the first time with the disc mower, make certain that the adjustable throttle on
the cylinder for swivelling is appropriately adjusted to the hydraulic volume rate of the tractor
and the travelling speed in the headland position.
The throttle should be adjusted so that the swivelling operation is not completed until just before
the new mowing section is reached. This is the only way to ensure a straight approach to the
next mowing section.
