3.7 Safety Equipment

– Always close the stop cock (1) when
transporting the machine and when working
under the machine.
– The safety chain (2) serves as an additional
safety precaution for trailed machines in case
these come loose from the hitch during
transport.
– The attachment of the safety chain (2) is not
stipulated in all countries.
– When transporting the machine, the country-
specific regulations for using the safety chain
(2) are binding.
– The support jack (3) ensures that the
machine is stable when it is not hitched to the
tractor.
– Wheel chocks (4) secure the machine
against rolling away. Two wheel chocks (4)
are mounted on the right-hand machine side.
– The star ratchet clutch protects the tractor
and the machine against load peaks. To
avoid damage to the machine, switch off the
PTO shaft if the star ratchet clutch engages
continuously for an extended period.
