11.2 Adjusting the Working Width
For design with mechanical working width setting:
CAUTION!
Damage to the machine if the threaded spindle is set to a dimension X>750 mm.
If the threaded spindle is set to a dimension X>750 mm, a section of the threaded spindle may
break off.
• Set the threaded spindle to a dimension of X≤750 mm.
Fig.
• In order to set the working width, lower the rotors until the guide wheels are just above the
ground.
• Shut down and safeguard the machine, refer to chapter Safety -> Safety routines “Shutting
Down and Safeguarding the Machine”.
• Loosen the counter nut (1).
CAUTION! Damage to the machine if the threaded spindle is set to a dimension of X>750 mm!
Set the threaded spindle to a dimension of X≤750 mm.
• Set the desired working width via the threaded spindle (2) by using the pin (3).
• Secure the threaded spindle (2) via the counter nut (1).
The distance between the rotors and the swath former:
high amount of forage = long distance
small amount of forage = short distance
