Your appliance has been checked and tested before leaving the
manufacturing facility. Despite all the attention paid to cleaning, you
may, nevertheless, nd coffee residue in the coffee grinder and/or
coffee drops on the grid of the drip tray. When unpacking, you may
also notice the presence of dust on the machine due to the protec-
tive material. We recommend that you thoroughly clean your ma-
chine with a soft cloth before using it for the rst time.
Thank you for your understanding.
Never use a damaged appliance.

Depending on the preparation selected, the machine performs an
automatic rinse when it is put on standby. The cycle lasts only a
few seconds and stops automatically.
Hints & Tips
WATER
The quality of the water greatly inuences the avour quality. Li-
mescale and chlorine may alter the taste of the coffee. In order to
preserve all the avour of your coffee, we recommend that you use
fresh water as well as a Claris Aqua Filter System cartridge, or bot-
tled water with dry residue below 800 mg/L (see label on bottle).
See the chapter on “FILTER AND WATER HARDNESS”.
CUP
When preparing hot drinks, we recommend that you use appropri-
ately sized cups and preheat
them by running them under hot water.
