12.1 Adjusting the basic position of the hand brake lever

Push the hand brake lever forward.
Adjust the basic position of the hand brake lever to your hand position by turning
the adjusting wheel

12.2 Checking brake discs

Front 4.5 mm (0.177 in)
Rear 3.8 mm (0.15 in)
» If the brake disc thickness is less than the specified value:
Change the brake discs. x
Check the front and rear brake discs for damage, cracking, and deformation.
» If damage, cracks, or deformation are visible on the brake disc:
Change the brake discs. x
12.3 Checking the front brake fluid level
Warning
Danger of accidentsFailure of the brake system.
If the brake fluid level falls below the MIN mark, this indicates a leakage in the brake system or worn-out brake linings.
Check the brake system and do not continue riding. (Your authorized KTM workshop will be glad to help.)
