4. Loosen the lock nut.
5. Remove the
4 screws to detach the bearing retainer
(4).

6. Temporarily install the nut on the pulley screw.
7.
Detach the rotor (5).

8. When
the rotor is detached, the 2 brushes are
found to stretch out of the shaft hole.
9. Lightly secure the rotor (5) with a vise to prevent
damage.
10.
Remove the bearing (6) with a puller (7).

6.1 Assembling alternator
1. Lightly secure
the rotor with a vise to prevent
damage.
2. Install the bearing (2) to the slip ring side of rotor
(1).
