Settings Fahrenheit/Celsius
• Briefly press the C/F button, to choose between temperature display in °Celsius (°C)
or °Fahrenheit (°F).
• Temperature alarm: 0°C to +250°C / 32°F to + 482°F adjustable
Use:
• Insert the cable of the measuring rod into the connector socket on the side of the
appliance. The roast thermometer shows the current temperature “TEMP” in the
left side of the display.
• Press the arrow buttons to set the desired temperature “SET TEMP” which is shown
in the right side of the display.
• Now, insert the point of the metal probe halfway into the thickest part of the meat.
However, ensure that the point is not inserted too close to bones, cartilage, or very
fatty areas so that the results are not skewed.
• Carefully close the door of the oven on the cable of the probe and place the base
on your countertop.
• CAUTION: Always ensure that the cable or the thermometer it selves do not come
into contact with the heating coil of the oven, any hot burners, and/or hot pots!
• The currently measured temperature “TEMP” appears in the left side of the display.
• As soon as the desired core temperature “SET TEMP” has been reached inside the
meat, an alarm signal sounds. The alarm signal can be turned off by pressing any
button.
Roast beef, rare 52°C – 54°C core temperature*
Roast beef, medium 60°C – 65°C core temperature*
Roast pork 70°C – 80°C core temperature*
Roast lamb, medium 70°C – 75°C core temperature*
Roast lamb, well 80°C – 85°C core temperature*
Goose, duck, chicken 85°C – 90°C core temperature*
Fish 60°C – 70°C core temperature*
* The core temperature is the temperature in the middle of the food stuff which is for
orientation only
TIP: Because the meat heats more slowly than any bone, cartilage, or fat, ensure
that the temperature is not measured too close to bone, cartilage, or fat. When
cooking unstuffed poultry, it is important that the measuring rod does not protrude
into the body cavity. Both situations will result in faulty readings.
Caution: Clean the metal point before and after each use! Never place the device
in a hot oven, as it is not heat resistant!
Cleaning
Clean the probe thoroughly before and after each use using hot water and a mild
detergent and dry it off. The housing of the thermometer can be wiped off with the
damp, soft cloth. Afterwards dry it off if needed. The roast thermometer is not suitable
for dishwashers. Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids as it is not
waterproof.
