Inside the enclosure there are three major sub-assemblies:
*The
Chassis Sub-assembly
*The Keyboard Sub-assembly
*The Front Panel Sub-assemblyr
Chassis
Sub-Assembly
The chassis sub-assembly is a metal tray which slides out
from the back
of
the instrument for servicing. The chassis is
divided into three compartments, each cradling a large circuit board.
Most of the circuitry
in
the system is
on
the three large boards. The
boards are the Central Processing Unit (CPU), the Channel Group
Processor (CGP) and the Channel board. The chassis also contains a
small board, the Audio board, mounted inside the back panel. These
boards are described
in
detail later.
