Pads Control
e Pads Control parameter determines the overall functionality of the Pads for all Zones in
the current Multi.
Switches
When Pads Control is set to Switches, the Pads function as switch controllers and use the
Pad1-Pad16 assignments set on the Multi Edit Controls page of each Zone. For details on
the Multi Edit Controls page and switch controllers, see “Switch Controllers” on page 7-13.
Arp
When Pads Control is set to “Arp Zone 1” through “Arp Zone 16”, the Pads can activate and
mute each step of the Arpeggiator Step Sequencer in the designated Zone. (e Arpeggiator
of the designated Zone must have the Mode parameter set to Step Sequencer.)
e Pads display the active/muted state of the currently playing Step Sequencer steps, in
groups of 16 steps at a time. Active steps are lit with a blue LED, muted steps are not lit, and
the currently playing step is lit with a red LED. Press a Pad to toggle the step between active
and muted (muted steps are set to velocity “None”). For details on the Arpeggiator, see ARP
Page” on page 7-39.
CC Sequencer
When Pads Control is set to “CC Sequencer Zone 1” through “CC Sequencer Zone 16”, the
Pads can activate and mute each step of the CC Sequencer in the designated Zone. (e CC
Sequencer of the designated Zone must have at least one Sequence with the Mode parameter
set to User.)
e Pads can control up to 4 User Mode CC sequences at once. (e Pads can not control
non User Mode sequences.) e Pads display the active/muted state of the currently playing
CC Sequencer steps, in groups of 16 steps at a time. Active steps are lit with a blue LED,
muted steps are not lit, and the currently playing step is lit with a red LED. Press a Pad to
toggle the step between active and muted (muted steps are set to a CC value of “skip”). For
details on the CC Sequencer, see “CC Sequencer (CC SEQ) Page” on page 7-40.
