U344 Setting preheat/energy saver mode
Description
Changes the control mode for preheat/energy saver, and sets the silent
mode (low noise mode).
Purpose
According to user request, selects which has priority, recovery time from
preheat or energy saving. Also sets polygon motor noise elimination in
preheat.
Method
Press the start key. The screen for selecting an item is displayed.
Setting
1 Select control mode.
Initial setting: Energy Star applied
3 Press the print key. The setting is set, and the screen for entering a
maintenance item No. is displayed.
Completion
To exit this maintenance item without changing the current setting, press
the stop/clear key. The screen for selecting a maintenance item is
displayed.

Control in preheat mode
Without decreasing the fixing control temperature,
the display on the operation panel is turned off.
The fixing control temperature is decreased by
30°C/54°F (42 ppm) or 20°C/36°F (52 ppm) and the copier
is forcibly stabilized 30 s after exiting preheat mode.
The fixing control temperature is decreased by 40°C/72°F
(42 ppm) or 20°C/36°F (52 ppm).
