(5) Detaching and refitting the heat roller
Follow the procedure below to replace the heat roller.
Procedure
1. Remove the fixing unit (see page 1-6-36).
2. Remove the upper fixing cover (see page 1-
6-36).
3. Remove the press roller and fixing heater M
and S (see pages 1-6-37 and 38).
4. Remove the fixing gear.

5. Detach the heat roller from the fixing unit.
Remove the C ring, gear, bearing and
bushing on the rear of the heat roller and then
remove the C ring, bearing and bushing on
the front.
6. Replace the heat roller and refit all the
removed parts.
