InthePreferencesdialogbox,clickApplytosaveyoursettings,clickOKto
saveyoursettingsandclosethedialogbox,orclickCanceltoclosethedialog
boxwithoutsavinganysettings.
EMF(EnhancedMetaFile)isaspoolfileformatusedinprintingbytheMicrosoft
Windowsoperatingsystem.Whenaprintjobissentfromanapplication,itis
transferredtothespoolfile.Theapplicationwritestoandtheprinterdriverreads
fromthespoolfilesimultaneously.Formultipleorlargedocuments,thisquickly
returnsapplicationcontroltotheuserwhiletheprinterisstillprintingthe
document.
ToprintwithEMFspooling,intheAdvancedtabselecttheEMFSpooling
checkbox.Continuetheprintingprocessasusual.
Note:EMFspoolingisnotavailablewhenAllowdatapassthroughis
selectedintheKPDLSettingsdialogbox.
Clientprofilereferstoprofilesettingssavedonaserverandaccessedbyclients
inaclient/serverenvironment.ThisfeatureintheAdvancedtabenablesan
administratortocontrolanddistributeprofilesonaserver.Youwouldstillhave
thechoicetouseyourlocalprofilesortheserverprofiles.
