Check if all the clamps [A] and the couplings [B] of Y, K, C, M, CL in ink unit are open.
• If they close, open them refer to below.

Connect the power cable [C] to the main unit [A].

Open the front right lower cover [B] and turn the main SW [D] on.

Close the lower right front cover.

Enter maintenance mode.

(Display: Begin) Select [Simple Ink Inst], [Execute] in U740 Set UP and press [Start]
key.

Display [Step] and [Execute].
Any modes are prohibit in U740 Set Up, so that power off does not allow to exit from this mode unless complete
all routine.
1 Follow the work flow by checking number on display [Auto xxx (Run automatically)] or [Manu xxx (Manual
procedure)].
2 Select [Execute] after completing the steps, then press [Start] key to continue. (Change the number with
Auto or Manu to the next.)
3 If [Undo] comes up with incomplete, check previous procedure.
