Clearing Paper Jams
When Paper Jams Occur
If a paper jam occurs, printing stops and the location at which the paper jam has occurred and the following message
appear on the touch panel.
"Paper Jam."
Refer to these procedures to remove the jammed paper.
Jam Location Indicators
If a paper jam occurs, the covers which you have to clear the jam will be displayed with red double circle on the touch
panel. Open the cover and remove the jammed paper by referring LED, JAM guidance and labels inside. Depending on
the component, the jam clearing method differs as follows.
To find jam location easily, look at the paper path below according to your print job type, such as duplex print or odd
page print.
Remove the jammed paper in the order of the paper finishing option, the printer, and the paper feed option.
1 Shows the location of a paper jam.
2 Shows the HELP to remove the jammed
paper.
Even when multiple covers are opened in the Inverter and Decurler Unit, only one red circle is displayed in the priority
order of Front Cover, Top Cover 1 and Top Cover 2.
