IV. Operating Instructions for filtration unit
1. Connect input power as shown in Wining Diagram of electric control box (P10-
P11).
2. Fill the water into pump before operating the filtration unit, kindly refer to the
operating details of pump in this manual.
3. Start pump first, then activate UV sterilizer (GMT series configuration) and salt
chlorine generator (GMT series coniguration) in sequence, otherwise UV sterilizer
or salt chlorine generator will be damaged.
Note: Forbidden to start first or activate UV sterilizer or salt chlorine generator alone,
UV sterilizer and salt chlorine generator must run after starting water pump.
4. To make sure salt chlorine generator running normally, put proper salt into pool
water, recommended concentration is 2700-3400PPM (i.e. salt content is
2.7-3.4kg/ m
3
), refer to operating instructions of salt chlorine generator for
details.
5. Check above four steps, connect the pump to trial operate. Stop working if
any abnormal and resolve all problems to ensure normal operation.
1. Operation and maintenance of pump
A.Operation
1. Never run pump dry. Running pump dry may damage seals, causing leakage and
flooding. Fill pump with water before starting motor.
2. Before removing trap cover:
a. STOP PUMP before proceeding.
b. CLOSE GATE VALVES in suction and discharge pipes.
c. RELEASE ALL PRESSURE from pump and piping system.
d. NEVER tighten or loosen clamp while pump is operating.
3. Do not block pump suction.
B. Initial Water Filling
1. Release all pressure from filter, pump, and piping system, see the flter owner's
manual.
2. In a flooded suction system (water source higher than pump), pump will prime
itself when suction and discharge valves are opened.
3 pump is not in a flooded suction system, remove trap cover, fill trap and pump
with unit
4. Unit and inspect O-Ring, reinstall on trap. Replace trap cover
Tighten trap cover by hand only (no wrenches)!
