HANDLE REPLACEMENT
SAFETY
WARNING:
To
prevent
accidental starting
of
engine, dis-
connect spark plug lead. Electric Start
Model: Remove rear access door mounting
screw, tilt access door back and disconnect
battery connector.
Removal
Remove set screws securing throttle knob, gear
select knob and bail latch release knob to levers
and remove knobs.

Remove six screws from bottom of handle
console.

NOTE
Upper cover assembly contains
a
locating pin. Slide cover assembly to right to
remove locating pin from handle assembly.
Electric Start Model: Remove leads from
key switch assembly.
Engage blade control bail and remove upper
cover assembly.

Remove
bail
pivot mounting screw.
Remove upper right hand side handle mounting
screw.
Slide bail block out
of
handle assembly. Re-
move self-propelled bail from handle.
Disconnect self-propelled cable from handle.
Disconnect blade control cable from
bail
and
remove bail from handle.
Remove throttle and speed select levers from
cables.
