REASSEMBLY
Apply Lawn-Boy "AX" grease into recess of
pulley and spread
a
light coating on the recoil
Position spring and keeper assembly into
pulley
so
outside end of spring is located be-
tween largest gap of five tabs within pulley
recess and inside spring hook touches inside
pulley flange.
spring inside the keeper assembly.
Position the pulley, spring and keeper
assembly onto housing shaft. Rotate pulley
counterclockwise until hook in end of recoil
spring engages slotted cup at base of housing
shaft. A slight click may be heard when spring
hook engages
tab
and pulley drops down into
correct position.
Install starter pawls in pocket of pulley
with end of return spring on the outside of the
starter pawl as shown.
