removal.
Loosen
two
nuts securing brake cable to
brake and switch assembly. Remove cable
“z”
end from brake actuator lever, and remove
cable.
Remove three screws securing crankcase to
engine mounting plate.
Self-Propelled Models:
Remove belt snubber and remove belt from
engine pulley.
Lift engine from housing and mount on engine
holding fixture.
DISASSEMBLY
Self-propelled Models:
Remove set screw securing self-propelled
pulley to crankshaft and remove pulley from
crankshaft.
NOTE:
Set screw extends into crank
shaft and must
be
removed from pulley to
prevent damage.
Close fuel shut-off valve and remove fuel
line from valve.
Oil Injection Models:
Disconnect oil line from oil fitting. Plug oil line
with drill rod to prevent air entering.
Plug
oil
fitting or drain oil into a suitable container.
Disconnect oil level switch from engine wir
ing harness.
Remove spring clip from bottom of fuel tank
bracket.
Remove three attaching screws on the
top
of the fuel oil/tank and
lift
tank out of clips on
shroud.
