the output volume of the cabinet. The shared Bass and Treble controls are used to shape the
output sound. A Bass Boost switch at LDPN12-2A and LDPN15-2A allows you to enhance
the bass response by 3dB @ 100Hz (LDPN12-2A), and 6dB @ 100Hz (LDPN15-2A) which is
particularly useful at low to mid volume levels. However at higher levels this should be
switched off, as clipping or distortion may occur.
Before switching on the power to the unit (the green LED serves as an indicator lamp), all
level controls should be set to minimum. Otherwise, microphones already connected to the
system may cause undesired feedback. Start with the tone controls in the middle position.
Volume balancing between the various input sources takes place using the associated level
controls; the master volume controls the final combined output volume. The red LED blinks to
indicate amplifier clipping, which should be avoided. Should a low humming noise (ground
loop) occur, this can be eliminated by switching the Ground Lift to On. Ground looping is
caused by two pieces of equipment being doubly earthed. A blue LED in front of all cabinets
shows signal present.
