How to play with

Step 1: Personalize Leap.
The fi rst time you play with Leap, take a few moments to personalize the toy
with your child’s information. See the next section (page 4) of the Parent Guide
for more information.
Step 2: Press the On/Off Button on Leap’s Foot.
Leap will wake up, ready to play!
Step 3: Hear Fun, Personalized Messages.
Squeeze Leap’s hands. He always has something to say! Phrases include special
messages you’ve recorded for your child.
Step 4: Listen to a Story “All About Me.”
Press the star to hear a story that is all about your child.
Step 5: Build a Story with Leap.
Press the circle to play an interactive, personalized story.
Step 6: Sing a Song.
Press the square to sing along with Leap.
Step 7: Play a Game.
Press the triangle to play games about colors/colours, counting
and letters.
Step 8: Learn Letter Names and Sounds.
Press any letter to hear its name and the sound it makes. If your
child presses the fi rst letter in his name, he’ll hear a surprise!
Volume Control:
Volume control is located on the battery box. Select “Low” or “High” with the
switch. Selecting “Off” will completely turn Leap off.
On/Off and Automatic Shut Off:
The On/Off button is located on Leap’s foot. When you are done playing with
Leap
, press the On/Off button. Otherwise, the product will turn off automatically
if it hasn’t been used for 2 minutes. Selecting “Off” on the battery box will disable
the toy, so that it cannot be activated using the On/Off button on the foot.
