16BATTERY
To turn on and lock the battery
1. If it is not already, fully insert the battery into the bike frame with
the keys removed. At this time, the locking pin will be retracted.
When the battery is locked, the locking pin will protrude through
the frame and be visible. The location where the locking pin will
be visible is indicated by the arrow pointing to the circle in each
image below.
2. Key position shown: Unlocked
Insert the keys into the battery through the hole in the bottom of
the frame. At this time, the locking pin will be retracted.
3. Push the keys into the battery and continue pushing until you
have twisted the keys to the desired position. (see steps 4 & 5
below)
4. Key position shown: Off
When looking at the battery from below, turn the keys clockwise.
There will be one audible click, and the locking pin will move out
to protrude through the frame. In this position, the battery will be
locked to the frame but the power will not be active.
5. Key position shown: On
When looking at the battery from below, turn the keys clockwise
so the keys are in line with the frame. There will be one audible
click, and the locking pin will protrude from the frame. In this
position the battery will be locked to the frame, the power will be
active, and the key will be locked into the battery so it cannot be
removed. The keys must be turned to the ON position for your
bike to work.
