• To prevent serious injury or death: This eBike uses a mid drive
motor system for propulsion. When throttling this system, the
front chainring will spin even though you as the user may not be
pedaling. Take care to ensure that none of your clothing is caught
in the chainring while it is spinning.
• Check your chain for wear every 200 miles with a chain checker
tool and replace as necessary. Mid-drive motor-powered ebikes will
wear out chains faster than hub motor powered ebikes and non-
electric bikes. If the chain breaks while riding the loss of resistance
when pedaling could cause a loss of control and a crash.
Only shift gears one at a time. Meaning, only
move the shifter one click and allow the chain
to move from one gear to the next before shifting again. Your bike
is equipped with a shift sensor which cuts power to the motor when
a shift occurs. This ensures that the motor does not accelerate the
chain in the middle of a shift, potentially causing undue stress or
damage to the chain or the gears.
Do not shift gears while the bike is stopped. This is because
the chain needs to be moving in order for the derailleur to derail
the chain from one gear to the next. If you shift while the bike is
stationary, you will be between gears. When you start to throttle or
pedal in this condition, you will hear some grinding noises as the
bike shifts, and the torque from the motor could damage and/or
cause accelerated wear to your chain or freewheel.
Mid drive motor powered ebikes will wear out chains faster than hub
motor powered ebikes and non-electric bikes. Check your chain for wear
every 200 miles with a chain checker tool and replace as necessary.
