2 MOUNTING BEHIND THE TRACTOR
• Fit the draw bar to the machine in such a position that the
horizontal distance from the pivot point to the drive shaft
approximately equals the distance between the tractor
catch hooks and PTO (fig. 2). This results in an optimum
distribution of the PTO shaft angle ensuring a steady run of
the machine in bends.
• Adjust the tractor lift arms at an equal height.
• Fit the lift arms to the linkage pins of the draw bar.
• Lift the draw bar slightly so that the parking jack is just
clear of the ground. Maintain this height for the tractor
hydraulics throughout operations and transport.
• Pull up the parking jack.
• Fix the tractor lift arms by means of stabilisation chains or
rods to eliminate any sideward movements.
• Check if the PTO shaft telescopes smoothly.
• Mount the PTO shaft to the tractor PTO.
• Fit the safety chain of the protection tube to rigid parts
of the tractor and machine.
• At first assembly, or used of another tractor: check the
minimum and maximum overlap of the shaft halves *).
- Connect the hydraulic hoses with blue marks to a double
acting hydraulic tractor valve, preferably with floating
position. Maximum allowed oil pressure = 17,5 MPa (175
bar).
- Connect the hydraulic hoses with white marks to a double
acting hydraulic valve (preferably with floating position).
Maximum allowed oil pressure: 17,5 MPa (175 bar).
- Put the plug of the lighting cable into the 7-pole tractor
socket.
*) Consult the instruction supplied with the PTO shaft.
