Replacing the rear fan assembly

This section provides instructions on how to replace the rear fan assembly.
To replace the rear fan assembly:
1. Remove the computer cover. See “Removing the computer cover” on page 87.
2. Note the routing of the rear fan cable to the system board. Disconnect the rear
fan cable from the system fan connector on the system board. See “Locating
parts on the system board” on page 89.
3. The fan assembly is mounted with four rubber mounts that protrude through
the rear of the chassis. Remove the fan assembly by pulling the rubber mounts
back through the chassis.
