CAUTION:
Themicroprocessorandheatsinkassemblymightbeveryhot.Turnoffthecomputer
andwaitthreetoveminutestoletthecomputercoolbeforeopeningthecomputercover.
Thissectionprovidesinstructionsonhowtoremovethecomputercover.
Toremovethecomputercover,dothefollowing:
1.Turnoffthecomputer.
2.Disconnectallcables,powercords,andexternaloptionsfromyourcomputer.See“Rearconnectors”

3.Placeasoft,cleantowelorclothonthedeskorsurface.Holdthesidesofyourcomputerandgentlylay
itdownsothatthescreenisagainstthesurfaceandthecoverisfacingup.
4.Removethecomputerstand.See“Removingthecomputerstand”onpage69.
5.Useascrewdrivertoloosenthetwocaptivescrews1nearthebottomofthecomputerbyturningthem
counterclockwise.Youmayhearthecomputercoverrattlingwhenyouturnthescrewdriver.
Note:Thetwoscrewsarecaptive;theyarepartofthecomputercoverandcannotberemoved.
