Toinstallamemorymodule,dothefollowing:
1.Turnoffthecomputer.
2.Disconnectallcables,powercords,andexternaloptionsfromyourcomputer.See“Rearconnectors”

3.Placeasoft,cleantowelorclothonthedeskorsurface.Holdthesidesofyourcomputerandgentlylay
itdownsothatthescreenisagainstthesurfaceandthecoverisfacingup.
4.Removethecomputercover.See“Removingthecomputercover”onpage70.
5.Replacethememorymodulebyaligningthenotchonthememorymodulewiththekeyintheslot.
6.Firmlypressthememorymodule1straightdownintotheslotbyapplyingpressureonbothendsof
thememorymodulesimultaneously.Theretainingclips
2snapintothelockedpositionwhenthe
memorymoduleisrmlyseatedintheslot.
Note:Ifthereisagapbetweenthememorymoduleandtheretainingclips,thememorymodulehasnot
beencorrectlyinserted.Opentheretainingclips,removethememorymodule,andthenreinsertit.
