Installingthemicroprocessorandheatsinkassembly
Toinstallamicroprocessorandheatsinkassembly,dothefollowing:
1.Touchthestatic-protectivepackagethatcontainsthenewmicroprocessortoanyunpaintedmetal
surfaceonthecomputer;removethemicroprocessorfromthepackage.
2.Alignthemicroprocessor1withthesocket(notethealignmentmark2andthepositionofthenotches
3);carefullyplacethemicroprocessoronthesocketandclosethemicroprocessorbracketframe.
Note:Themicroprocessortsonlyonewayonthesocket.
3.Carefullyclosethemicroprocessorreleaselever4totheclosedpositiontosecurethemicroprocessor
inthesocket.
4.Cleanthegreasefromtheheatsinkassemblyandapplynewgreaseonthemicroprocessor.
5.Aligntheheatsinkassemblyontopofthemicroprocessor,andmakesurethefourscrewsinthe
heatsinkalignwiththeholesinthesystemboard.
6.Followthissequencetoinstallthefourscrewsthatsecuretheheatsinkassemblytothesystemboard:
