1.Releasetheleversecuringthemicroprocessorretainerandopentheretainertoaccessthe
microprocessor.
2.Graspthemicroprocessoronthesidesandliftitstraightupandoutofthesocket.Donottouchthe
contactsonthemicroprocessorsocket.
3.Notetheorientationofthesocketcover.Alignthenotches1onthemicroprocessorsocketcover
withthealignmentkeys2onthemicroprocessorsocket.Installonesideofthesocketcoverinto
themicroprocessorsocket.

4.Carefullypresstheothersideofthesocketcoverdownwardsuntilthesocketcoversnapsintoplace.
5.Carefullycheckthefourcornersofthesocketcovertomakesurethatthecoverissecuredinthe
microprocessorsocket.
6.Lowerthemicroprocessorretainer,andthenlowerthelevertosecuretheretainer.Makesurethe
leverislockedintoposition.
7.Followanyadditionalinstructionsincludedwiththereplacementpartyoureceived.

microprocessorsocket.
