FederalRegulations(DHHS21CFR)SubchapterJforClass1laserproducts.Elsewhere,thesedrivesare
certiedtoconformtotherequirementsoftheInternationalElectrotechnicalCommission(IEC)60825-1and
CENELECEN60825-1forClass1laserproducts.
WhenaCDorDVDdriveisinstalled,notethefollowinghandlinginstructions.
CAUTION:
Useofcontrolsoradjustmentsorperformanceofproceduresotherthanthosespeciedherein
mightresultinhazardousradiationexposure.
Donotremovethedrivecovers.RemovingthecoversoftheCDorDVDdrivecouldresultinexposureto
hazardouslaserradiation.TherearenoserviceablepartsinsidetheCDorDVDdrive.

Laserradiationwhenopen.Donotstareintothebeam,donotviewdirectlywithoptical
instruments,andavoiddirectexposuretothebeam.
Powersupplystatement
Neverremovethecoveronapowersupplyoranypartthathasthefollowinglabelattached.
Hazardousvoltage,current,andenergylevelsarepresentinsideanycomponentthathasthislabelattached.
Therearenoserviceablepartsinsidethesecomponents.Ifyoususpectaproblemwithoneoftheseparts,
contactaservicetechnician.
Cleaningandmaintenance
Keepyourcomputerandworkspaceclean.Shutdownthecomputerandthendisconnectthepower
cordbeforecleaningthecomputer.Donotsprayanyliquiddetergentdirectlyonthecomputeroruse
anydetergentcontainingammablematerialtocleanthecomputer.Spraythedetergentonasoftcloth
andthenwipethecomputersurfaces.
