4. Pivot the drive bay assembly upward. See “Pivoting the drive bay assembly upward and downward” on
page 19.
5. Disconnect the card reader cable from the system board.
6. Replace the card reader.
CAUTION:
Touch only the edges of the card reader. Do not touch the card reader’s circuit board.

7. Connect the new card reader cable to the system board.
8. Reinstall the removed parts. To complete the replacement, see “Completing the parts replacement” on
page 68.
