Thissectionprovidesinstructionsonhowtoremovethecomputercover.
CAUTION:
Turnoffthecomputerandwaitthreetofiveminutestoletthecomputercoolbeforeremovingthe
computercover.
Toremovethecomputercover,dothefollowing:
1.Removeanymediafromthedrivesandturnoffallattacheddevicesandthecomputer.
2.Disconnectallpowercordsfromelectricaloutlets.
3.Disconnectthepowercords,Input/Outputcables,andanyothercablesthatareconnectedtothe

and“Locatingconnectorsontherearofyourcomputer”onpage9.
4.Removeanylockingdevicethatsecuresthecomputercover,suchasapadlockoranintegratedcable
lock.See“Lockingthecomputercover”onpage30and“Attachinganintegratedcablelock”onpage32.
5.Openthekeylock1onthecomputercoverifitisinthelockedposition.
6.Disengagethecoverlatch2andremovethecover.Placethecomputercoveronaflatsurface.
