Thissectionprovidesinstructionsonhowtoinstallorreplaceaharddiskdrive.
Note:IfyouareinstallingaSASharddiskdrive,youmustensurethattheSASharddiskdriveenablement
module(onetothreeharddiskdrives)ortheLSIMegaRAIDSASadaptercardisinstalled.
Toinstallorreplaceaharddiskdrive,dothefollowing:
1.Turnoffthecomputeranddisconnectallpowercordsfromelectricaloutlets.
2.Removethecomputercover.See“Removingthecomputercover”onpage36.
3.Removethefrontbezel.See“Removingandreinstallingthefrontbezel”onpage37.
4.Locatetheharddiskdrive.See“Locatinginternaldrives”onpage13.
5.Disconnectthesignalcableandthepowercablefromtheharddiskdrive.
6.Pressthetwotabsoftheharddiskdrivebrackettowardeachother,andthenpullthebracketoutward
toremovetheharddiskdrivewiththebracketfromthechassis.
