Step 4. If you have additional drives to install, do so now; if any of the drive bays is left empty, fill it with a
drive bay filler.
Step 5. Check the drive status LED to verify that the drive is operating correctly (see
“Drive LEDs” on page
205
).
• If the yellow drive status LED is lit continuously, the drive is malfunctioning and must be
replaced.
• If the green drive activity LED is flashing, the drive is functioning.
Step 6. Reinstall the E3.S drive cage cover back to the node.
a.
Insert the drive cage cover to the slot.
b.
Close the drive cage cover.
c.
Tighten the thumbscrew on the drive cage cover.
