If you are instructed to return the defective component, please package the part to prevent any shipping
damage. Reuse the packaging the new part arrived in and follow all packaging instructions.
Install the power distribution module
Use this information to install the power distribution module.
Before you install the power distribution module, complete the following steps:
1. Read the following sections to ensure that you work safely.

“Safety” on page iii
• “Installation Guidelines” on page 37
2. Turn off the server. Disconnect the power cords and all external cables (see “Power off the server” on
page 16
).
To install the power distribution module, complete the following steps:

Step 1. Hold the tab and slide the power distribution module into the server.
Step 2. Fasten the screw on the rear of the server.
Step 3. Fasten the screw on the bottom of the server.
