Digital frequency input (X9) / Digital frequency output (X10)
Tip!
For the connection to the digital frequency input (X9) or digital frequency output (X10), use
prefabricated Lenze cables. Otherwise, only use cables with twisted pairs and shielded cores (A,
A /B,B/Z,Z) (see connection diagram).
Features of digital frequency output X10 Features of digital frequency input X9
•
9-pole sub-D socket
•
Output frequency: 0 - 500 kHz
•
Current consumption per channel: Max 20mA.
•
Two-track with inverse 5 V signals (RS422) and zero track
•
X10 has a different basic setting depending on the selec ted configuration
(C0005)
– Factory setting: Encoder simulation of the resolver signal
•
Load capacity of the parallel connection: Up to three slave drives
•
Load capacity of the series connection
– 250 kHz digital master frequency: Up to 22 slave drives
– 500 kHz digital master frequency: Up to 10 slave drives
•
LOW-level at X10/8 (enable) i ndicates the initialisation of the master drive
(e. g. if the mains was disconnected). The slave can thus monitor the master.
•
9-pole sub-D plug
•
Input frequency: 0 - 500 kHz
•
Current consumption per channel : Max 6mA.
•
Two-track with inverse 5 V signals and zero track
•
Possible input signals:
– Incremental encoder with two 5 V complementary signals shifted by 90 °
(TTL encoder)
– Encoder simulation of the master
•
X9/8 is used to monitor the cable or the co nnected controller. For this,
monitoring SD3 must be activated.
– LOW-level at X9/8 activates TRIP or warning (SD3)
– If the monitoring is not required, this input can be connected to +5V.

Possible combinations for digital frequency channels X8, X9 and X10
Combination
X8 Encoder input

Assignment activated Assignment deactivated means
Assignment deactivated X8: C0025 = 10 (feedback with resolver)
X9: Remove function block DFIN from proc essing table and delete link
X10: C0540 = 4 (X10 = X9) or C0540 = 5 (X10 = X8).
