6.3.5 Mains filters for power supply modules
When using the mains filters assigned, conditions must be observed for compliance with
EMC class C2:
ƒ The measures for the use on IT systems must be applied to all axis modules in the
interconnection (separation of internal filter components from PE, ( 331)).
ƒ The maximum sum total of all motor cable lengths (Σ l
mot
) for the filter used must
be observed.

The assigned filters are designed for Σ l
mot
(E94AZRPxxx4: 60 m (= 6 x 10 m), E94AZMPxxx4: 500 m (= 1 0 x 50 m)).
For a different number of axis modules, Σ l
mot
can be determined from the following
diagrams.
