MODEselectsstereoormono mode. lnstereothetwochannelsare linked, pitch
shiiing by the same amount and splicing at the same time.
GLDL affects both channels in stereo mode, and the left channel in mono mode.
GLDR affects the right channel in mono mode. These controls change the pitch
continuously over a range of -2octaves to +i octave. This allows a glissando to
be performed, either manually or via MIDI.
PCHL adjusts the pitch interval of both channels in stereq mode, and the left
channel in mono mode. The exacttuning can be altered bythe fine pitch control,
and the exact pitch shii in intervals and cents is displayed. The fine control must
be set to the exact middle of its range if perfect pitch intervals are to be obtained.
in the long display, the Fine Fffch is shown by the number of cenfs added to, or
subtracted from, the semitone intervals. Remember that Pitch Interval will
produce exact intervals only ti Fine Pitch is centered. The rightmost character in
thelongdisplayisanasteriskr) if Fine Piich iscentered, anda’+‘or’-‘otherwise.
When the VALUE key turns on the shorl value display, Fine Pitch is not shown
in cents, but as a number ranging from -32 to +32 in order to g.we a clear
indicationof how much Piich Interval has beenchanged. When’**‘isshown, Fine
Piich is centered and inactive. As a rule, I oount of Fine Pitch is worth 2 cents
near 200%, 3 cents near lOO%, 6 cents near 50%, and 12 cents near 25%.
PCHR performs the same functions as the PCHL wntml, except that it is only
active in Mono mode, in which it adjusts the right channel.

additive to the PCHL control. If PCHL is set to the middle of its range the FINL
control can be used to setvery smallvalues of pitch shii, producing a chorusing
effect.
