What to do if my Lexicon Controller DC-1 is erratically recalling modes?

If your Lexicon Controller DC-1 is experiencing erratic recall of modes, it may be due to severe power surges or sags confusing the unit's memory. To resolve this, or if you want to start over, restore the factory defaults. First, turn off all amplifiers. Then, turn the master power switch on the DC-1 rear panel OFF, wait 10 seconds, and turn it ON again. This will cause the unit to run a diagnostic self-test routine. If the DC-1 LCD displays normally after the test, the unit's circuitry is likely fine. If the internal tests fail, the LCD may display an error message, or no message at all. If you find that your custom settings are routinely being corrupted, the lithium battery in the DC-1 may be faulty.
