2 TONER CARTRIDGE REPLACEMENT
Install a new Toner Cartridge.
Is there a normal image on the paper?
Problem
solved
Go to step 3
3 IMAGE DEVELOPMENT INSPECTION
Remove the Left Cover.
Generate a Test Print and switch off printer power halfway
through the print cycle.
Open the Top Cover.
Open the Drum Shutter.
Hand rotate (counterclockwise) the Main Drive Motor to
advance the Drum far enough so you can see the developed
image area on the Drum before
it reached Transfer.
Is the image on the drum completely developed; with
sharp, black, easily read areas?
Go to step 4 Replace the
HVPS. Go to
“HVPS
Removal” on
page 4-13.
4 IMAGE TRANSFER INSPECTION
Carefully remove the Test Print generated in step 3.
Inspect the print.
Was the toner image on the drum transferred completely
to the paper?
Suspect an
intermittent
problem and
go to step 7.

5 TRANSFER ROLLER REPLACEMENT
Go to “Transfer Roller Removal” on page 4-38.
Is the image still blank?
Go to step 6 Problem

6 HVPS REPLACEMENT
