4. Release the harness from the clamps (C).
Note: When removing the ADF diverter gate solenoid, the spring and plunger will become detached.
5. Remove the ADF diverter gate solenoid.
Reinstallation note: When replacing the ADF diverter gate solenoid, ensure that the pin on the plunger is
properly reattached.
ADF document tray removal
1. Open the ADF top door.
2. Remove the ADF rear cover. See “ADF rear cover removal” on page 4-218.
3. Disconnect the cable from the ADF controller PCBA.
