IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM
a ) Check that the security indicator light fl ashes when the
“ENGINE” switch is OFF.
b ) Check that the engine can be started using all the keys.
c ) Check that the security indicator light turns off when
starting the engine.
DOOR LOCK SYSTEM AND ILLUMINATED
ENTRY SYSTEM
a ) Check that all doors open and close smoothly using the
inside and outside door handles.
b ) Check that the doors cannot be opened by using the
inside and outside door handles when the lock button is
in the locked position (except front inside door handles).
c ) For front inside door handles: Check that the front doors
can be opened by using the inside door handles when
the lock button is in the lock position.
d ) Check exterior key lock control system operation by
mechanical key (with driver’s door).
Locks all doors
Unlocks the door (two-step unlock function):
1. Turn the key once to unlock the driver’s door.
2. Turn the key twice to unlock all the doors.
NOTE:
• To remove the mechanical key: Release the lock and pull
the key out.
• To store the mechanical key: Slide and hold the release
knob, insert the key.
e ) Check that the outer foot light illuminates when the door
is opened.
