AIR CONDITIONING AND HEATER
Warm up the engine and press the “Climate” button to
display icons for automatic air conditioning control.
a ) Select high fan speed and set the temperature to 85 °F
(29.5 °C) with the “TEMP” button.
b ) Press the windshield defogger button and check that hot
air fl ows out of the front defroster vents.
c ) Select “FOOT” air fl ow mode and check that hot air
fl ows out of the foot vents.
d ) Check that the air fl ow volume changes when the fan
speed button is pressed.
e ) Press the “AUTO” button followed by the “3-ZONE”
button (indicator on) and lower the temperature of the
driver’s side by pressing the “TEMP” button.
f ) Set the temperature of the driver’s side to 65 °F
(18.5 °C).
g ) Check that the display of the airfl ow mode and the air
fl ow volume changes automatically by changing the
temperature in auto mode.
h ) Check that the temperature of the passenger side
remains at 85 °F (29.5 °C).
i ) Select “FACE” air fl ow mode.
j ) Check that cool air fl ows out of the driver’s side center
vent and hot air fl ows out of the passenger’s side center
vent.
k ) Press the “3-ZONE” button (indicator off) and check that
cool air fl ows out of both center vents. Set the
temperature to 72 °F (22.2 C).
l ) Check that cool air fl ows out of the side vents and the
rear console box vents.
m ) Check outside temperature display
n ) Press and hold the “OFF” button.
o ) Turn on the rear window defogger switch and check that
the indicator light illuminates.
p ) Press the “AUTO” button.
